Happy New Year!

Good afternoon,
Happy New Year!
I wanted to thank you all for such a lovely welcome from yourselves and your lovely children, I have been made to feel so welcome by everyone of them. I have had a lovely first week where we have gotten to know each other a little through some calming and fun activities and have made a set of class promises as well as a few games too-I hope they have enjoyed their first week back too.
It has also been so nice to meet some of you this week, and I look forward to meeting more of you and getting to know you.

I have attached below this week's spellings. Spellings will usually be tested on a Monday, but we will do this the following week instead (so you have a little longer this time :) ).
There are a few of them this week, but they are taken from the Year 3 & 4 spelling list so some will already be familiar. They are:
accident believe century continue earth eight experiment extreme history perhaps probably recent reign thought woman women

Maths homework is set on MyMaths.com and there is an English piece on the Google Classroom. This can be completed in the children's homework books. Homework should be completed by Wednesday next week. Children should continue to read to an adult as much as possible- we aim for 10 minutes daily. When they finish their reading book, children can let me know and we will change it for them in school.

Thank you again for a great start! I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
