Class 4 week commencing 8.9.25

Welcome to Y4 and back to school.

Homework is as follows;

Spellings will be sent home as a handwriting sheet on Mondays, for a test each Friday. We will also work each day on the spellings in class.  

This weeks spellings are;

actual, arrive, busy, certain, enough, fruit, height, mention, occasionally, often, opposite, ordinary, peculiar, remember, strange, surprise, weight.

Reading . The children are encouraged to read each night and get their reading diaries signed for housepoints! There is Bug club to continue with along side their reading books.

Guided reading. We will work on a text each week in class. This will be sent home every Friday with homework books, to be handed in the following Friday. If they want to return it each Monday instead, they can and will earn extra housepoints.

Maths. A maths task will be set each week usually My Maths or Abacus to be completed for the following week.
