Happy New Year

This half term we will be using the book The Hungry Caterpillar as a big focus. 

We will be looking at healthy eating and staying fit, making some healthy snacks in class to eat.  In maths we will be continuing practising number recognition 1-20 and beginning to look at 1 more than and 1 less than numbers to 20. We will be talking about weighing and using balance scales to weigh objects.  We will continue to do phonics daily and will be building on our writing skills.  The children will be looking at the life cycle of a butterfly and going on nature hunts in the garden.
